Nokia 2100
The trendy Nokia 2100 is a small, light-weight, easy-to-use phone that replaces the previous entry-level champion, the Nokia 3310/15. Here are some features (not listed in any specific order):
Lithium Ion battery
Excellent stand-by / talk-time.
Keypad
If you’re an SMS-addict, this phone may not be right for you. The keys are a bit too close and cos the phone is ''slim'' the grip is not at all convenient for Power SMSing.
Auto Key-guard
A nice and handy feature to prevent accidental dialing.
Express-on covers
The translucent color covers are trendy and you can slip in a photograph on the back panel (quite cool).
Rhythmic backlight and Vibra ring
The backlight flashes, in tune with the ring tone, and so does the vibrator. (Trick: Activate these two features, and place the phone standing-up on a flat surface, and watch it dance!)
Picture Editor
Big deal! I found it complicated to use the first time around in the Nokia 3315 and still haven't figured out how to ’create’ a picture message (giving up on this feature).
Reminder
My mum uses this for Time Management (to remind her when Kyunki Saas or Jassi are going to be on air :-)
My Recommendation
An excellent entry-level phone, currently available for Rs.4800/- (without bill). Go for it.
