Some six months back, I had bought Nokia 1200 Mobile phone.The phone is very handy and has many features, which the older Basic phones did not have.The main feature which I like in it is, we can view the Call History of every call(The Older ones did not have this feature.
We can view only the history of Last Call).But the phone has poor keypad.The keys are flat and there is no spacing between them.Unlike 1112 and other Older basics which have embossed keys and spacing between the keys, 1200 does not have them.While I type sms, I tend to press wrong keys.1200 does not have Speaking Clock, a good feature present in 1110 series.
The keypads of present basic models (1200, 1202, 1208 etc)are poor.Though 1200 has good features, the keypad is very very poor.Nokia should try to use the keypad styles of its older basics.Of all the basics, Nokia 1112 has the best keypad and spacing.The other thing is, (as written in some other review)1200 has poor software.I got a problem within few days of purchase, but got the thing rectified.Almost all the present basics have poor software.Recently my sister bought Nokia 1202 which too had some software problem.Nokia should take care of these before shipping products.The only Basic which works best is, Nokia 1650 with FM and other features .
