This is my first experience with Nokia ... and I am now convinced it deserves the reputation it has ... earlier I owned a sony ericsson T105 (see this link https://mouthshut.com/review/Sony_Ericsson_T105-85258-1.html for my review of it) and I admit that I purchased a non-Nokia mobile just because everybody recommended Nokia to me and wanted to prove them wrong !Now I know better ...
- Battery After T105 the battery is a big relief for me. I charge it once every week and even that is not always utterly needed. The charging also takes very less time. everybody I have talked to never had a complaint about nokia batteries but this one is just fabulous.
2.Back light This one sports a different scheme for back light which takes some time getting used to. Basically the letters are illuminated rather than the background (in normal sets, the letters are dark whereas the background is illuminated). The drawback obviously is that you can't use it so much like a torch (but I personally dont miss anything, as even this illumination + keypad back-light is more that the full-blast illumination of T105). The advantage is that in low light situations (such as when you get a call in the middle of night while sleeping in a dark room) the illumination does not hurt your eyes ... and I can't tell you how big an advantage this is ... you just have to experience it to know it.
Menu + phone book especially when compared to T105, the menu seems just so much superiour ... especially the search facility in phone book is a big relief for me. the only thing I miss is the calender of T105. why can't Nokia put a calender also in this phone. the most annoying thing in nokia 1110 is the date ... either you have to wait for the screen saver to appear or go to the settings/time/date and see the date needless to say a big pain in the a_s_s ...
Keypad I like this keypad bacause of its better sealing ability. it is a single sheet so that no dust enters the phone from in-between spaces of keys
5. voice clarity you also have a loudspeaker facilityFinally, I wud say .. anybody who wants a robust working phone must consider Nokia 1110 seriously.
