The Nokia 1108 is a cousin of the Nokia 1100( Made for India) phone. The additional features include the yellowish backlight instead of bluish in Nokia 1100 and the hands-free set.
The keypad is good and the interface easy to use. Messages can be composed in Hindi too( made for India part!).However the receipient phone should also support Hindi else it appears as tiny boxes on the receipient phone.
The phone numbers can be stored in either SIM or phone memory. The Copy option to transfer numbers from phone memory to SIM and vice versa is very useful. The battery life of this phone is a great plus point. It lasts quite long reducing the recharging frequency.
The ringtones are monophonic and loud enough. Signal clarity is good. Pricedat Rs 4100( Nokia Priority dealer) it is a bit expensive considering that the Nokia 1100 is available for Rs 3300-3500 in the market. The price could have been justified if FM radio was also included as the Nokia 2300( FM radio+polyphonic) is available for around Rs 4400 in the in the market. But since it's just been launched, the prices are bound to fall( will soon be priced around Nokia 1100) which will make it a good buy.
All in all, a decent phone with basic features
