Having spend my one year in the National Capital Delhi. I

came with a perception that whole of NCR is the same as Delhi. The Police is

alert, the traffic rules are strict and the lifestyle along with the crowd

parallels to that of New Delhi.

But as per the wish of god I happen to be in Noida because

of helpless boundation. I am  in Noida

for the last six months and had discovered some unscrupulous  differences between New Delhi and Noida.

Things that which people usually say about Noida and it’s so called infrastructure(to

be better than Delhi) came to me as the biggest lie.

Though before shifting to Noida it’s name has already been

defamed by the Nithari Killings but still I was positive about the basics(the

infra and so called other things) but all came to me as the biggest shock one

by one. All I can figure out till now is that if Delhi is Bad then Noida is

worse, or if Delhi is good then Noida is not so good in every aspect be it

crowd, infrastructure, markets etc.

Welcome To Noida

The starting point from where u enter Noida from Delhi gives

u a real impression that you are about to enter a city that really gives

capital a run for it’s money as I entered from the Toll Bridge better known as

DND Flyway then I passed through the Noida film city. The Roads over here are

amazing about six lanes with greenery on both the sides but as I penetrated

through the city I found it to be almost bottlenecked by the Metro construction

all major stops including Sector 37 crossing is jammed with Delhi Metro

Construction work, the traffic is diverted through unprecedented routes. Along

with you can also find many colourful tourist

buses running on the roads as public buses. Driven rashly, even worse than blueline, unlike Delhi

there is no separate lanes for the buses and there is no speed restrictions

even the recent happenings of Delhi could not have an impact on these private

bus operators because there is no Police strictness as such. The city streets

also greets you with bad smell that comes from the *Nallas *flowing through every nook and corner of Noida. Moreover the

city has lots of villages attached with it such as *Challera, Bhangel *to name a few, they are typical villages or

small towns the ones which we find in the middle of highway. There are also *mandis *in almost every  sector recognized by the days such as Sunday

market or Thursday market.

But on the positive side one can find beautifully

constructed houses (some with awesome

designs) in the city and also the phenomenal Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

Infrastructure

Yeah the most boasted thing about Noida. It all turned into

nightmare for me. Now, what all you include in infrastructure only roads. No,

it includes electricity, water supply, public parks, markets along with

roads.

There is nothing much to say about water supply, public

parks as I found them almost the same as in Delhi. But about roads in certain

aspects they were certainly better than the ones in Delhi because they are

smoother and broader but the biggest headache comes from the buses that drive

on the main lane that’s along with divider and numerous cycle rickshaws which  block the main lane forcing the traffic to go

slow.(the city is flooded with cyclerickshaws) But overall speaking the roads

of Noida scores over Delhi(excluding that of VVIP areas of Chankyapuri, India

Gate, some parts of Ring road of course).

But electricity, my god I found it to be the worst I did

face lots of problems when I was in Delhi but I remember there use to be a

maximum power cut of 2-4 hrs in Delhi that too in the worst case scenario that

too in the summer time till July-August .

Since September I didn’t face any power cut in the Khriki Ext.  But here in Noida first time in my life I

faced power cut upto six hours sometimes multiple power cuts in a day it went

on till October(though the frequency decreased). So my serious advice to all

who will be shifting here is that keep the invertor in your priority list may

be a necessity.

Along with it the biggest problem is going to Delhi

specially when you are relying on public transport. The Autowallas are even

worse, because u cannot bargain with them as most of them don’t have a meter,

so you cannot ask them to go by the meter,

they will also cause inconvenience as they will make u change the auto

in the middle before entering Delhi border. A normal charge going to any part

of Delhi is Rs. 150-Rs.200 if you go by U.P. registered Auto, so if you have

lot of luggage better find an auto with Delhi No. At least they will charge

less or may be they can agree to go by meter if u find a good one. Otherwise

there are buses as usual.

There is lack of good markets in Noida, except for that of

Atta Market that I can say is the lifeline of Noida. Of course when you are

habitual of Delhi’s markets such as C.P., Khan Market, Lajpat Nagar, Nehru

Place Noida will be a nightmare for you. Though it hosts NCRs two biggest malls

such as Centre Stage mall and The Great India Place(those two are in Atta

market too)  but again u will say at the

end of the day *Dilli waali baat nahi. *There

is also no tourist place in Noida on the contrary Delhi is full of that.

Must See in Noida

Till now all I can recommend is that the Centre Stage Mall

and The Great India Place Mall both adjacent are worth visiting in Noida in the

middle there stands a unique Gurudwara . PVR spice is again a must see.

Noida-Greater Noida Expressway

If you are fond of fast driving and want to enjoy a piece of

it this expressway is then made for you six lane wide, 25 Km. Long can be

regarded as one of the best highways of India. There are no obstacles of any

kind in between and less of Traffic you can simply enjoy your ride or drive non

stop. There is also Traffic Police at regular gaps and proper maintenance on

both sides. Only problem, no Petrol Pumps or pucturewallas.  But really a masterpiece which the people of

Noida and Delhiites can boast about.

People

People of Noida have a complete UP attitude they are rough

in their language, do not hesitate in giving worst of all abuses even in front

of ladies. Less Punjabis as compared to Delhi, Gurgaon.

Coming to the helpful attitude well it depends on people to

people, cannot really comment on it but overall speaking they are one step

lower than Delhi, the ones who are living in good localities are mostly from

Delhi  but they don’t have time to

interact with you.
