I had a look at the car in recent ads featuring Ranbir Kapoor and I think Nissan has chosen the right brand ambassdor to attract target age group. I went to Nath Nissan in Delhi to take a test drive. I wen there on 15/Jul and somehow, there was so much rush in the showroom and I had to wait for some time to get my turn. It looks like that Nissan campaign was quite successful. Waiting for my turn, I had a chat with few other people and every body was impressed by it good & attractive design. Some people told me that this is a global car and will be sold in Europe also. I don't knoe the reality. After waiting for 30 minutes, I got my turn. I went inside the car and I could feel that interiors are better than any other car in same segment. It was quite spacious. Dealer told me that there is I key which is intelligent and there is no need to take out the key from your pocket to open or strat the car. Just sit in the car and start with push button and go.
I had to take test ride on the busy mathura road. Steering operation was effort less and handling was superb. They claim that mileage is very good around 18kmpl. I dont the condition on actual road but must be good by Nissan standards. It is a Japanese brand. My present car is Maruti Swift. From looks Swift looks slightly bigger car but Micra looks far better that Swift in interiors and looks. I found leg room and seating space much better that Swift.
Finally Idecided to put in my hard earned money to book the Micra @ 50000 Rs. They promised delivery in next 2 months. Why so late but they said they have heavy bookings. Ofcourse I booked a Top Model. hmmm... I am very rich :-)
I would recommend this car. Remember MIcra has a long long long history in other countries and is already a hit ...
