Nissan micra test drive impression. Review on Nissan Micra

I test drove the Nissan Micra DCI top end model yesterday and would like to share my views on the car..

One week back, the car was displayed at my office and took a chance to check the car.. Sales guy explained all features like.. keyless entry called intelligent remote key system, you can open the all five doors including boot with a gentle touch of a button on the knob. The remote key should be with you within 70cm distance to lock and unlock the car and to open all the door and keep the key with you in the car to start the car using start button. Need to press the clutch to start the car, this is to to avoid the accidental start of the engine by kids or unintentional touch of the start button. Its really cool and hassle free.

I feel seating position is little low and can not adjust the height of the seat. Road visibility is quite good and can easily see all the angles from inide the car. ORVMs will be retracted automaticaly when we lock the car using the remote key and electrically adjust them inside the car..

Took the appointment of test drive and he came after two days to provide the test drive. I took my three friends for test drive at my office.. sales guy came on time for test drive.. no waiting.. he handed over the keys and started the car just with a juntle press of start button.. rolledup all the windows and very little diesel engine noise inside.. gear shift felt little harder but not too hard.. acceptable.. shifted gears.. 1..2..3..4..5.. all transition is good.. turned off the AC and Audio to check the noise level in the cabin. Noise is minimum inside.. driving is smooth and able to cross the speed breakers without any issues. we are five in the car and no ground clearance problem in the car at humps.. suspension is good enough to handle all the humps and potholes.. you can feel the potholes vibration into your dody..

AC is good enough chilling within seconds and it has automatic climate control.. can set the temparature from 18 to 30 degrees. Audio system is also good and acceptable.. USB missing.. leg room in the front is good for driver and co passenger.. rear seat are not good enough and has enough leg room.. not enough thigh support at reat you may get pain in long journeys..

I feel the cabin space is little limited compared to Figo ( I own a Figo zxi). boot space is good enough to swallow shoppoing and suitcases and claims it is 251 litres.. front and rear looks are not attracted me..

All windows have power wondows and drive side autodown..Driver airbag is standard for all variants.

FE claims to be 23kmpl for diesel version and 18kmpl for pertrol.. yet to see the reviews on the real figures.. price of diesel is 7.05L and 7.5L for XV and XV Premium.

Overall, the car good at this price..
