I happen to watch Nishabd from Ram Gopal Verma recently. A love story between a grand pa and a teen age girl is realy taboo subject, no body would want to touch except RGV. He deserves the credit for that. It will not be as per the expectations of people who wanted a DESI LOLITA kind of cheap stuff. The story line is sensible, cinamatography is excellent( Munnar as such is a beautiful place) and performances of lead pair Zia Khan and Amitabh Bachchan is great. Zia is very confident and extremely photogenic. Amitabh is like a mature wine. However, in the last it looses the steam and probably director and the audience both do not know how to end this kind of story.
The film starts with Zia Khan who has come to stay with her friend's house from abroad. She has a frank and somewhat different attitude towards life which obviously does not fit into traditional indian mind set. Amitabh comes into touch with her accidently and they both feel attracted to each other. Zia for her prestine beauty and Amitabh for his maturity work for cupid.
Worth a DEKHO.
