Ok, this red wine from Seagrams nine hills which is a Cabernet Sauvignon is the worst CS ever!
Tried once, and that's the last one as well. This wine didn't tick box in any of the characters it should pocess. They should stope selling this wine in the name of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Color: These wines should have a deep red, so red sometimes it even looks like purple. But the one in this bottle was not that deep. it had more of a ruby red shade. First pour into the glass, I knew it's a bad news.
Aroma: the classic Cabernet Sauvignon should have a refreshing berry aromas like raspberry, blueberry and with hints of herbs. This one had so strong herby aroma. it was overwhelming to drink, even after letting the bottle breath for some time, it had that strong herby feel to it. So fail again.
Acidity: It should have a medium to high acidity, the one I had was I think it had acidity more on the higher side, not really sure, because of the strong aroma it had, I couldn't enjoy this wine. So was not even bothered to know more about this wine.
Mouthfeel: Againbecause of the acidity, this wine should leave a refreshing aftertaste in your mouth. But this left a dirty aftertaste, which was not plesent. Another fail.
So overall., it's a bad wine, maybe someone who has not actually tried or knows CB they might consume it, because they don't know what to expect. But for people who know their wines it is a big disappointment. Sold under the Seagrams label I expected something much much better than this, if not great. I know india is still a new world when it comes to wine, these are a couple of young wine labels who produce CS blends which will cost half of this and tastes and feels much superior and stays true to the CS characteristics.
So don't waste your money on this and ruin your lunch/dinner. Instead the big banyan and fratelli is a much better option who sell better Cabernet Sauvignon which is anyway a better option than this.
