The Hotel
The Nilambag Palace hotel is one of the finest hotel in Saurastra region of Gujarat. Prior, it was used by the royal family of Bhavnagar but now it is turned into a hotel. I don't have the knowledge about its stars but I can say that it was worth staying there.
It was an actual palace and thus you find royal amnesties in the building as well as around the building. It was built with red stone and marble from Rajasthan. The carving of the stone was so beautiful. The old furniture would you attract you the most. Though it was old, it was well preserved. In fact, the whole area of the palace is nicely preserved.
My Experience
In fact, I didn't stay there but I took dinner at the Nilambag restaurant. But I have gone through the facilities provided by the hotel. The hotel has wide range of rooms available at a moderate rate. One can choose as per his need.
The rooms are big and full of royal furniture and paintings. I was impressed by the facility. I can say that the stay in this hotel will remind you Rajasthan. The staff was well mannered and trained. I found many foreigners staying there. I got a chance to talk with them and I asked about their stay in the hotel. They told me that they liked the stay. If I talk about the food of the restaurant, I can bet you, it is the best in the city. No restaurant in the city, serve so many variety of food as I find here. They are the best in Veg and Non Veg food. You can devour continental as well as Indian food.
Recommendation
I can recommend this hotel to all. If you plan to stay in vacation or on holidays, you are requested to book your stay in advance. In short, it is the best place to enjoy the Royalty.
