I bought this Camera from a Authorized Nikon Wholesale Dealer in Gulf Market. I purchased it with Nikon 18-105 Lens Kit. The price is about Rs. 2000 - 3000 less with Lens kit in Gulf as compared to India. Also I would suggest that buy it from Authorized dealer only(anywhere in world) as you would get much better benefits in long run & value for Money. Current Price in India with Nikon 18-55 Lens is roughly Rs. 52, 000/- (Mostly you will get a 4GB Sd Card & a Camera Bag free with it). Prices vary from city to city & market to market.

I earlier had a Nikon SLR F65, which was very light & easy to use. I thought of upgrading to Normal Digital Camera before buying a Digital SLR. So after my F65, I purchased a Canon Powershot S5 IS. I learnt lot of basic stuff about digital camera on it & finally upgraded to Nikon D90.

I am not a professional photographer but I have keen interest in Photography. Not done any courses in Photography, but I can click pretty good snaps. I was doing homework on Digital SLR's since last 4 months. I had checked out Canon, Fuji, Olympus, Pentax & Nikon's Digital SLR in market.

One can anytime check most of the models in Mumbai at DN Road (Near VT Station). There are more than 25 shops who sell New & Used Cameras. I will suggest please dont go by just reviews on Internet, one should physically check the camera for features, feel & grip, ultimate use, picture results & Budget before buying one. After all you are going to spend in thousands for it.

The reason I have written some basic nonsense stuff above is because many people are confused & dont have practical knowledge about Cameras but want a Camera which gives best pictures & also do something more than just point and click.

If you have a budget of about Rs. 40, 000 or little more then I will suggest dont look at any other option or Model. Nikon D90(Body Only) would be BEST option available in market currently. You may buy different Lenses seperately as per your need. I really dont want to write about the technical aspects & Features as all that stuff is easily available online. Just google it & you will find more than 100 websites giving in-depth details about D90. You may also learn different tips n tricks from various websites.

The picture quality is better than any entry level Digital SLR. In fact it is close or almost similar to high level models such as Canon EOS 7D or Nikon D300s. After 1 month of regular use I found that battery Life is not as per mentioned in manual or on websites. But still it's pretty acceptable. Features are almost similiar to Higher End Models.

I have attached a 2 pics to get a idea of just point & click. This camera makes you click more because of the results.
