I am a Nikon Df shooter, and I love the in-camera image/photo processing; it has all functions I need. Nikon is the only camera that has in-camera straightening (!). Nikon WMU has a number of ridiculous quirks but quite usable. Nikon(WMU) is the only camera that can transfer raw image files (NEF) over WiFi. So, I was shocked that D500 cannot do WiFi properly, hilarious in 2016; even Df, the "retro camera", is quite decent in WiFi. The terribly hunting and slow touch-to-shoot AF feature on the D500 is another shock; no touch-to/magnify either. The 1.5 crop 4K in addition to the 1.5 APS-C crop is another frustration. I see no reason to buy D500 next to my Df.
The review was excellent as usual from DP Review; but I don't care the high points at all, its totally subjective; I give 79 points because of the lack of a couple of features that are important to my photography/videography style. The Canon 80D would be a(much/bit) better fit, but the 80D has no in-camera straightening, damn.
