I bought this camera from Amazon almost a year ago. I chose the red one. Some of the features that made me buy this camera are 38X zoom, design, color, Wi-Fi connectivity and the tilt screen.

What I got along with the camera are an 8GB memory card(40MBps), carry pouch, lens cap, neck strap, 4 NiMH rechargeable batteries, 4 Duracell batteries, HDMI cable, USB cable and a battery charger.

My first impression after unboxing: I was really amazed at the look and feel of the camera. It's a real beauty when it comes to design. The chunky rubber grip gives a great slip free hold  in your hand. The shinny glossy finish is definitely an eye grabber. Accessories provided allow you to instantly unpack and start using the camera. The tilt screen is really handy when it comes to low angle and top angle shots and it's not flimsy at all.

Performance: Beauty and design is not everything when it comes to a camera. You need the product to serve your purpose and perform flawlessly. This is where there this camera has pulled-in a few minus points. Quality of a perfectly captured image is really great and there is absolutely no doubt about that, but capturing a perfect image is not always quite possible. The camera performs really great in a very well lit environment like an outdoor location on a sunny day but low light performance is where it struggles. In a well lit environment the shutter speed and image quality is great while the same suffers bad in low light resulting in blurry and noise filled photos. The same goes with the video quality.  So if you are a person who does a lot of outdoor shooting, then this camera will not disappoint you. There are a few more cons that I would like to point out. The camera sometimes freezes in the middle of shooting which really embarrasses you while shooting people, because you will have to make them wait till the camera responds and you'll have awkward moments. Focusing takes forever at times and you will be frustrated to hold still anymore. Lags a little while shooting full HD video but using a high speed SD card might fix this.

On the brighter side of performance there are positive points to consider like long battery life which is very important, great Macro shooting capability, high ISO, Continuous shot, Vibration reduction, which makes a great difference when fully zoomed in especially in video mode. NFC, Wi-Fi, remote capture with Smartphone are some fancy and sometimes very useful features but turning on the Wi-Fi drains the battery a lot faster. In general usage the Auto mode worked well for me most of the time with fixed low ISO settings resulting in better snaps.

I would not recommend buying this camera at this point of time because there are newer models released by Nikon recently with better specs and upgrades in the same price segment.
