Since I began to walk again, my L.A. gear running shoes didn't give me enough support. I went to Runners World and tried on a number of running shoes, (i.e. Puma and Trail). I decided that Niki Air Max were the best for me.

The shoe is very light because the sole is made from a carbon rubber sole that have air bubbles in it. They developed this after the last summer Olympics. The moment I put both shoes on I felt like I was walking on air.

There is a tread that stops me from tripping, over the cracks in the sidewalk.

The inside sole feels soft, and when I step down it forms a protection around it. The sole seems to have a memory of it's own, because every time I put on the runners my foot print already there. On the box it says this is because Niki made an extra cushion in these runners. If you are a runner that runs on concrete, (you should never do that, always run on something soft, like grass), this will protect your knees from the impact.

It has a low top, and laces. There were a number of choices of colors, (yellow, black & grey or blue & grey), but I decided that I wanted the black, silver and red.

The upper part of the shoe is made of mesh, (to keep my feet cool, and not sweat or smell), and a water protection synthetic material, that criss crossed around the top to protect my foot if I'm walking in the rain. The Niki logo is one top of all of this.

My cousin, (may he rest in peace), Max Winter, owned the Minnesota Vikings foot ball team, use to walk 20 miles a day in $6.00 running shoes that he bought at Woolworth. He would have died, again, when he saw that I paid $75.00 for these runners!

I have been wearing these runners for two months and they look like new.

I am walking to loose weight and I have lost 8 pounds, but have a nicer looking legs, (from the muscle).

If you are looking for a running shoe, in a mid range price, (my grandson's cost $150.00 because he plays a lot of sports), I hope you'll look at the Nike Air Max.
