I am sorry to write my review in this category, I didn’t
find any other category matched to my review.
A sudden calamity is not shocking for we Mumbaikars but this
terrorist attack have made everyone think about the infiltration in our
County and system. As a lay man, as far as I
understand about this act I cannot put blame on lack of security because as per
my understanding everything was pre-planned with help from the people of
various grades, various profession and also may be from varied countries.
I am writing this review neither to talk about the terrorist
nor about the shameless people who joined their(terrorist) hands for
fulfillment of their filthy act. Everyone is aware about how it happened and can understand because of whom it happened.
My review is to salute those brave Officers who lost their
life while trying to save the hostages & to save all of us from the ugly
act and also for them who kept fighting with the terrorist till they could
claim "end of the mission."
I request all of you to join and note your feelings about all those officers involved in this mission. This will be our small
contribution to show our respect for them, our confidence in them and support
for them.
The brave officer who lost their lives –
ATS(Anti Terror Squad) chief Hemant Karkare – Age 54 who was
probing the Malegaon blasts case,
was gunned down when he was leading an operation at Hotel Taj against
terrorists. He was hit by three bullets
in his chest
IPS Officer Ashok Marutirao Kamte, Additional Commissioner
(East Region) of Mumbai Police a 1989 batch IPS officer, was
killed while fighting terrorists at Metro Cinema
Indian Police Officer Vijay Salaskar was who also gunned
down. I have perpetually not quoted him
as Encounter specialist and request media and others not to quote the same the
reason can be read below:
It is worth quoting his beliefs he talked about in his interview when asked,
"How did you acquire this reputation as a sharpshooter, an encounter
specialist?", his response was, "Frankly, I do not see myself in any
such role. But people see me as that. The media sees me as that. Gradually
perhaps I am coming to accept myself in the role. Though I must confess, I do
not like such a reputation. It unnecessarily creates a bad impression,
particularly among human rights activists. They feel I am a trigger-happy
policeman. Famous for killing others. I do not enjoy having such a reputation,
sir. I just do my job."
One more answer to the question, "How does it feel to kill a man,
looking him in the eye?" to which he had said, "In a shootout, no one
has time for such niceties. Either you kill or you get killed. I am plain lucky
to still be alive. In this job, you know, we take one day at a time. Who can
predict what tomorrow will bring?"
These were his words in March, 1999.
Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan – Age 31, commando officer in the
National Security Guards(NSG) was killed
while engaging terrorists at the Taj Mahal Hotel. He was the only son of retired ISRO officer Mr. K.
Unnikrishnan and Mrs. Dhanalakshmi.
NSG hawaldar Gajendra Singh, who died fighting terrorists in
Mumbai's Nariman House, who was a member of NSG's 51 Special Action Group
And many more.
I am holding media responsible for delaying our
commanders to win this battle and for the lives of the officer who lost. I am against all those coverage shown on the
TV live. They had shown everything
including when did the IPS chief entered, when he left with other 3 officers,
where he was heading, where & when the commanders got down, what were their
likely plans. And these terrorist might be getting idea of the action ahead. Media should feel shameful
for what they are doing just to get more so called TRP on cost of others life.
I heard a reporter saying, “Hamare do bahadur samvadata aur
cameraman is samay apni jan pe khelke ………….”
This so called bahadur people were only disturbing the commandos and
police.
Police should have got hold of this cameraman should have
taken them inside the hotels asked them to cover the live story and give cover
to police.
In these 3 days all the political parties were hiding in
rat-hole and now when all is over they will start all their morchas and bhasans
against the opposite party. Will try to
show how they are helping the family of dead people but I do not have to
mention what they do and what they don’t.
This media and political parties are here only to make money
for themselves not to help the citizens.
As we have overcome other sudden calamities in past same way
we will, infact, we have overcome this ugly terror attack and started living a
normal life. But still our heart mourns
for the brave officers and the innocent people who lost their life in this
attack.
None can shake our commitment to our country, our life and
confidence in oneself.
