An authorized cheater - Not a worthy place!!!. Review on New Wave Computing Pvt Ltd

I had a problem with my lenovo T60 laptop. I was not using it for more than 6-7months. I gave the laptop for repair at Newwave computing Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore in Koramangala. They promptly checked it and said the laptop planner has gone bad and gave me the following quote

After few days I got call from one of the service guy asking if I am going to repair my laptop, as the quote was so high I didn't have any plan of repairing it. So he asked if I would be interested to sell my laptop to him, as he was a part time employee and studying, it would be of help for him. He also said he can give 5k for that laptop. I said sorry I am not planning to sell it.

After few months now, I took the laptop removed the CMOS battery connected it again. Charged the battery completely and checked. It is working perfectly alright, except that the battery is very old and it is not charging completely.

I wonder what would have the serivce guy got if I had given my laptop for 5k. All under the banner of "Authorized service center".

Not sure whom to trust these days. Very bad!
