New orleans. Review on New Orleans, LA, USA (NEW) - Lakefront

New Orleans is the city of beads, flashing, good food, Bourbon Street and parades. City is not big as New York or Chicago, but nonetheless, it has Mississippi River, unique culture, birthplace of jazz music, French architecture.

Traffic rules are somewhat different, so confusing. After reaching New Orleans at 6:00 pm we headed to moon walk near Mississippi River. Then, we had dinner in La Bayou restaurant. Were you can getto authentic bleed of French, Spanish, and African food. Menu card was different from all other restaurants in USA. The entire dishes were new to me, that was unique food of New Orleans. Weate jambalaya,  etouffee, oyster Po Boy, and most famous alcohol beverage Hurricanes.

After eating a hyperphagia meal, we were disparate to see what Bourbon Street is all about. Bourbon Street hadall nasty smells of alcohol, and it was not tidy and posh. On both sides of the street, there were bars, strip club and souvenir shops. On top on some clubs there were people standing with beds. Those people used to throw beads from the top and beautiful girl standing down use to flash. Many people were wearing Mardi Gras opulent mask. In short, Bourbon Street is the wild place. Then in the night we just when to see French quarters from outside.

A southern part of Louisiana is swampy area, home to crocodile and many alligators. We went to swamp tour next day. We drive to the location swamp tour starts. However, there are some tour companies in New Orleans, who arrange shuttle from new Orleans to the swamp. Basically, 50 to 60-passenger boat will take you to the swamp, from that we are able to get you closer to the crocodile.You will get chance to hold a small crocodile in your hand. If you are luck you can see the big alligators in swamp.
