Well this is one more book by stephenie meyer... The story is continued from her previous book "Twilight". Twilight is a love story of Edward and Bella... Bella Swan is simple-and normal girl-living with her father in the small town of forks-where she shifted that summer.
She joins a high school at forks just to discover that she is in love with Edward Cullen-not so normal boy. Gradually she discovers that Edward is a vampire but still cant stop from relating herself to him..... They land up being in a relationship-not a normal one.
Edwards family-known as the Olympic coven-consists of Carlisle, the founder of the family, Esme, his wife, Alice and Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett and Edward. Edward was naturally gifted with the power of reading the minds of the people and Alive could see the future. Of course I need not say that its abnormal!!
Things change when james-another vampire-is after the life of bella-a delicious food for vampires cause they feed on blood. now yule think that if bella is food for james then why not for edward and his family??? well this family is a "vegetarian" one cause they feed not on human blood but animal blood. Yeah Yeah! I no its a bit weird but believe it or not this story is a 'Fantasy Ride'.
The story ends happily when the cullen family saves bella from james... well that is the happy ending of book 1-twilight... the story continues in book 2-new moon.
This sequal starts with Bella's birthday... she insists not to celebrate because she beleives her birthday should rather be a mourning day cause she turns into 18 while Edward is still 17-yes u guessed rite, vampires don't grow old, they are freezed at the age they were changed into a vampire. So for bella this day is of course to be mourned. Alice plans a birthday party for bella, despite her wishes and buys her lots of gifts, again despite her wishes.
In the cullen house, bells is busy opening her gifts when she hurts her finger and the next instant theres a drop of blood on the floor.... Jasper runs to suck the blood and was about to kill bella when Edward saved her. Well this 'vegetarian' family strived a lot in past to not feed on human blood... it doesn't mean that they are not tempted to kill humans... they have got a good self control... but Bella's blood is irresistible to all of them.
Edward decides not to live with Bella anymore... cause it can be dangerous to her life. If not leave her alone, the other option is to convert her into a vampire too-its done simply by biting the neck of the person. And Edward beleives converting Bella into a vampire would be as good as killing her.
He leaves her.
Jacob-a warewolf-seems to become a good friend of Bella during her sad period... he is not the only warewolf, he has some warewolf friends too… In the time being, Bella is busy trying "Dangerous" things cause thats the only way to "Feel" Edward. She fells him in her unconsious mind... and ends up with cliff jumping.. a near death experience after james.. this was accompanied with the demise of charlie's beloved friend.. Edward misunderstands between all this mess that Bella is dead and so goes to the "Voultri" to Die.
Voultri are the biggest vampire family alive... they enforce the law... a vampire goes to them only when he wants to die... well that was the case with Edward.
Alice and Bella leave for Italy too to save Edward… Alice comes to know about it via her sense to see the future. Because the Voultri denies his request to kill him, Edward decides to kill himself by going into the sun-vampires die if they are out in the sunlight. But Bella finds him in time and saves him… by pulling him out of the sunlight.
Voultri have some rules that ought to be followed by all vampires, one of them is to not tell any human about them. If they do, they are obliged to convert that human into a vampire. Bella was a HUMAN who knew just a bit too much about them. The voultri promises to leave them if they promised to convert Bella into a vampire. They promise and leave… Bella is very much tempted to become a vampire cause she hates being older than her lover. She goes to the cullen house to cast a vote as to she should become a vampire or not… they end up with maximum votes in favour of Bella becoming a vampire… na na! don’t worry she is not a vampire yet!!
Now as per the history, vampires and warewolves are enemies. In fact, warewolves are created to finish vampires. You’re thinking if that is the case, why didn’t Jacob and his warewolf friends kill the Olympic coven??
Well they are obliged due to the treaty between the cullen family and the warewolves, in the past, which stated that as long as vampires don’t kill or even bite humans-which will turn them into a vampire, they can live in forks with them.
well the story ends with the end of Bella and Jacob's friendship...
The story coninues in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.
