I had written a comment in my son's notebook a week back. I was called by the counsellor to discuss on those. When I explained her my problems, she noted them down with lot of patience.
Which brought me some confidence on her. She had also given some instructions to my son.
When I walked down to the reception, I was called back and was taken to the principal's room. And the discussion was as follows.
Me : Good Morning sir
Mr. Princi : Good morning
Mr. Princi : Tell me.. What is the issue?
Me : I have explained her though, but.. About the notebooks....
Mr. Princi : This is our method... We will follow the same way and there will be no change. If you are not happy, you can take away the child from the school.
Me : Good... Now that it is black and white, I would do my part. Earlier it was a gray area.
Mr. Princi : Your reaction to this (old feedback given in PTM) is not acceptable. YOU TAKE YOUR CHILD OUT FROM THE SCHOOL TODAY
The discussion caught fire from this moment
Me : Is this the way to talk to a parent?
Mr. Princi : Yes...This is the way I talk to anyone. Take your child out from the school today
Me. Who are you to send my child from the school??? I will pull you to the consumer court.
I stood up and started walking out of his office..
Mr. Princi called for the security from the intercom.
Mr. Princi : COME HERE AND SIT.
Me : why?? You want the security to neck me out? Why should i sit when you are not open for a discussion?
And I walked down the stairs. The security and receptionist stopped me from going out. And after a minute the security said that I can go..
Moral of the story.. Though you pay big money to the school, you are at the mercy of the Principal.
I wish Mr. Chairman will read these and take some steps to make this school a better place.
Readers, it is up to you decide weather you want to put your child here...My recommendation is neutral.
