Arya Bhavan, a veg restaurant on M G Road, is almost hidden from public view. But the landmark is the big yellow Lipton hoarding. As we walk in, it looks like a greasy old place. But a waiter rushes to greet you and arrange a seat for you. Nothings formal, its very hospitable and warm(literally - no windows to let the hot air out!) But one look at the North Indian sweets and salties spread out on the shelves, would make your mouth water.
Once seated, the waiter takes down your order and within 10 min the food is ready.
You get chaats, puri-channa, curd-rice, pulavs etc, but the best are chaats and curd rice. The chaats are very aptly springled with masalas. My North Indian friends say that its the best chaat they have ever eaten in Blore. Curd-rice is amazingly well made!
There is no music or ambience in this place, its just good food and you! But its nice because for once you have the liberty to talk and discuss stuff while having a good sumptious meal with friends, no blaring music to interrupt you!
