It's been a long time I wrote a review on mouthshut.
Thanks to an Unprofessional team like Neutrogena, It brings me back here to share my plight with you all.
I had come across Neutrogena on Facebook. Being a person fascinated by cosmetics and beauty products I was looking for an eye make-up remover since quite some time. Luckily I could see on on Neutrogena worth 295. Also I learnt they had online shopping for the same and shipping was FREE.
Happily I registered on their website and ordered the same product through a credit card.
Instantly I receive an email confirming my order. Makes me happier!
I ordered the product on 27th Feb 2012 and received it via courier on 2nd March 2012.
I was so very happy and was really proud of my country that such professionalism exists and customer is still treated like a KING! However my Honeymoon was over too soon!
Being a sensible consumer like most of us, I always have the habit of checking the Manufacturing and Expiry date. I was shocked to see the manufacturing date was 20th March 2010 and the expiry was 19th March 2012 which was merely 17 days away from receiving the product. Even if I used the product daily I could have not managed to finish it off in the next 17 days.
The unprofessional-ism starts:
I logged on to the website and managed to get the customer care email id. I shared my quandary with them hoping to get an immediate action. But all in vain, till date I have not even received a reply to my email, forget action!
I logged on to Facebook and shared my frustration, All is get is an apology and nothing more than just a promise to look in to this matter. And that's all!
Inspite of several reminders this unprofessional thick skinned group does not budge!
This lame product lies on my dressing table(still sealed) and waits for it's expiry so that it goes to the Trash Bin with great honor and pride!
At the end of the day I realize one thing, Neutrogena is such a lame company with mediocre range of products, it has in stock a product which was manufactured in 2010 and was unable to sell it in the market (of course due to a pathetic marketing team); My local grocery guy would market his products better with much better customer service
Finally, I have decided to use other better professional products available in the market like Clinique and M.A.C, no doubt they are expensive but they do have some professional ethics and most importantly they Value their customers!
