I had internet connection in my apartment but I have to connect wire to laptop and create wifi hotspot from laptop. I asked my office colleagues and searched online and found NETGEAR have best wifi routers.
Bought it from flipkart for 900 rs in august 2015. It was a good decision.
Using it for more than 6 months. I faced some problem initially like it disconnect so frequently and range. There customer care help me out and guide to change the settings and from that day I never faced any problem with my router.
It is very good for home use range is enough for a 2BHK apartment. I have signals everyplace in my apartment but signal strength decreases in balcony may be because there are 3 walls between my router place and my balcony.
There is one surprising incident happened few months back where I forgot to disable my wifi and received wifi signals in ground. My apartment is at 10th floor and I received whattsapp massages via wifi.
Router interface from NETGEAR genie which is user friendly and NETGEAR genie runs on any device with a web browser and have a android app which can help you in managing your connection settings.
There is guest feature which creates a temporary wifi lan for those who asks your wifi passwords frequently. Create a guest and you can control its disabling time and speed on that network.
