I have a sales partner account with net4india from the year 2001. Till 2004, I was stuck with them, bad service and creepy attitude notwithstanding, because I had so many domains and services with them that I couldnt move out. In 2004, when I tried to move all services away from them, they wouldn't refund the advance deposit I had with them. I was forced to continue hosting about 10 of my domins with them, so I could exhaust the deposit, which I have finally done in October 2007. Most of my domains have been moved to newer service providers like godaddy.com and nettigritty.com. These 6 - 7 years of experience has taught me what bad service is and how shitty companies like Net4 can make customers suffer.
There has never been a time in the entire period when ANY of my support call was respponded on time. Their phone responses are horrible, they dont keep any commitments, if they say we'll call you back, they wont. If they say we're emailing the information, they wont. If you log a support call online, the autoreminder comes with 5 mins, but the problem resolution does not happen in 3 days also.
The funny part is on their website, they have an option to transfer domains from any other service provider to them, but no option to transfer domains from them to any other service provider, even when that facility is by law mandatory. For the last 4 years, I have been requesting them to make the transfer process automatic like all other service providers have, but they wont do it, becuase they know that all customer will just move away from Net4India.
Once, I renewed a hosting pack of their server within the time period. There was some problem at their end due to which it did not renew, even though I received a confirmation mail. On the exact expiry date, the server stopped working. Despite my complaints, they would not accept the old renewal. They wanted me to pay a fine and renew again - which I refused. Now I wanted the data of that server, for which they charged me Rs. 2000 to burn a CD and give to me. That was when I started moving away domains from them in the year 2004.
Even now, I have some domains left with them, but they are more personal and I know for sure that nothing can be done about them. I want to publicize their bad service, bad attitude and terrible processes, till they shut down and publicily appologise.
