I make Mumbai- Pune trips once atleast every two months. And since everytime one goes to the station, the Neeta people on lookout start harassing "Dadar madam, Borivali Madam" and so on. to get rid of them, I usually go along with them and go and shout at the little Kiosks where they give us the tickets. I tell them about my problems with Neeta in my previous Journey, and after zillion of promises "this wont happen this time madam. take my number, any problem give me a call." I become mollified and buy yet another Neeta ticket(cursing myself under the breath). Anyways for so long the problems I faced,
Misplaced Luggage, and no one takes responsibility to help me find it. "this bus dint arrive here" or "Neeta doesnot run this Number bus" and many more stupid reasons by stupid staff on one such occasion.
Ticket is for Dadar, u board the bus for dadar, but in another hour or so, they just make you move to another bus. And guess what, this is borivali bus. It wont take you to dadar. you will have to get down at Sion and take a local for Dadar. The reason they give is "Technical problem with the dadar bus", which is utter bullshit.
Again, take a ticket for Dadar for 2:30 pm. the pick up bus takes you to the main bus stop, you get into the bus, and after ticket checking they tell you that it is borivali bus of 3:00PM. The 2:30 Dadar bus was cancelled. you yell at them make a few calls, and after half hour, they "adjust" you in the borivali bus. Again get down at Sion and so on.
I had a flight to catch for Jaipur. with that in mind I took a neeta bus so that I reach mumbai 2 hours before my flight schedule. the neeta guy promised that the bus will reach on time. Naive as I was, trusted him. and as neeta is well knwn for her timmngs, I missed the flight by a very good margin!
After these Four incidents, I have taken an oath not to ever ever travel by Neeta, Shivneri is the best option to travel to Mumbai by Road!
