My family booked Sheesh Mahal and Van Mahal for two nights. After checking in we found that the flush of the first Mahal was having no water. We had to wait for the plumber for half an hour to have it fixed for which we were neither apologized nor compensated. Besides, the bathroom smelled like moss, very humid and slippery. It was nauseating for my parents to use it. The Jacuzzi bath tub was dirty and to my consternation there were reptiles running around. The room was not luxury either. The desks in the mahal were dirty at corners and windows had broken supports. Our next day at Van Mahal was not good either. The bathroom had moss as well as too much dirt accumulating between double glazed windows. To our horror, there were fifteen power cuts lasting few minutes within a span of one night right until we checked out. No explanation was provided by any staff for it. As if this harassment was not enough, they even changed the high tea location to upper floors without informing us. We came to know only after reaching the previously allocated location. What gross negligence. Talking about high tea, the snacks they provide is invariably the worst food one can eat primarily due to addition of massive amounts of sugar, salt and oil to it. In addition, Van Mahal has a sitting place in the backyard which is not isolated, which they did not disclose on website . People pass by the access stairs next to it. Not to mention, it was advertised as a place full of trees. Even so, there was only one tree in the backyard. Do not fall for the marketing gimmick on their website. The only thing I liked was that the HK staff was helpful; however, you are as good as the place, which in our opinion was the worst place to stay. Recommend to chose heritage hotels instead. This was my last time at any of the Neemrana group of hotels anyways.
