Appealing to car lovers and Need For Speed fans. Review on Need For Speed

With a title that will attract all gamers and a young crowd, I had high expectations from this movie. But it turned out to be an average film high on realistic action, but weak on character development and story.   Plot is average and picks up at only certain parts, that too for a little time. Awesome cars with stunning colours, scenic localities and racing have been picturised to add to the glamour of this film and mend the plot holes.

Baring one drift and sprint scene in heavy traffic, the race scenes are similar to the scenes in a need for speed game which any gamer would know. On one note, you have high speed beautiful cars racing and on the other you have pretty ordinary police cars who are nowhere close to them.

The acting department is good with the main leads giving a decent performance. The chemistry between the lead pair is also delightful to watch. However, the supporting cast comes up with a energetic and fresh performance. Music is okay, nothing over the top nor too boring or plain but not memorable.

The film is high on action since some of the driving stunts have been performed by the cast and crew themselves. It does have some thrilling moments and jaw dropping moments, some near collisions and  realistic racing.

However, atleast the film doesn't have over the top idea's and ridiculousness as the Fast and Furious films. Sheer silliness and highly predictable is where the film falls short.

Overall, it would be fun for all car lovers and a one time watch for others.
