Finally a flop for Yash Chopra !!

That's what I felt as soon as I walked out of theatre screening NULL N NUMB[that's the new name of film !]. In an attempt to make a 'kool' film, director Arjun Sablok has concentrated more on double meaning dialouges ,skin show ,styling and technique, while, the story is linearly non-existent! Even otherwise the love story depicted is so lifeless, so listless, so predictable that you feel sad that such a sub-standard product is made under the banner of Yashraj films! That tongue-in-cheek comedy...those bright and vibrant characters....the cool n hip...and a crackling screenplay are all missing here so evident in their last release SALAAM NAMASTE!....

Story

Uday Chopra is a Punjabi boy from a small farming town in Canada for whom life is more of Dhoom ,Masti and Dhamaka.

Actual drama takes place when his parents come from all the way Punjab to make Canada their home, decide that this is the time for him to get married? He agrees...wait wait wait .... there is one condition! Because he very well knows that the 'kind' of girls that he has spent his time with, can obviously not be an ideal 'wife-material'! And the best he gets!

Because soon props up the name of a Richa Palood. But before he takes 7 pheras with her, he has a condition - he wants to enjoy his last few days of bachelorhood by going for a 3 week vacation. To be more precise he wants to sleep with 21 women in 21 days! Kya Masti Kya Dhoom!

When he reaches Vancouver he comes across NULL sorry Nikki uff Tanisha.Like every love story they hate each other initially. Coming to Tanisha ,she is co called modern women —who is graduated ,independent. she believes in herself, has a strong identity and is very proud of being a woman. To make matters worse ,Neal's date is messed up by Tanisha!

What follows are series of bizzare ,weird and senseless situations with that vital aspect called story taking complete backseat! Are Neal and Nikki made for each other? Or is Richa Palood the right choice for Neal?If you are a Bollywood movie buff ,the answers of these question are as easy as math class of grade one!

First things first, what's the point of showing mini skirts, tight pants, short dresses, br*ast popping tops and much more ? If the makers are hinting that it signifies a youthful, timepass entertainer, sorry, the content is wide off the mark.

Infact it relies so heavily on sex and vulgarity that you actually search for story throughout those two hours. If the first half is devoid of anything interesting, you expect some movement in the story towards the post-interval portions. And when true identity of Tanisha comes to the fore ,you expect the drama to be far more absorbing! . But the story stagnates yet again with those sex jokes !Even the comedy scenes are anything but funny.None of the scene are worth a mention and as forgettable as routine class lecture with those ''ghisa-pita'' situations!

Another drawback is NEEL AND NIKI reminds you of DDLJ. But the sad part is Uday Chopra is no SRK and Tanisha is no Kajol !

Secondly there is NO chemistry at all between Uday and Tanisha. It appears that they have had a fun time[obviously!] shooting for this movie on the stunningly vibrant looking foreign locales but this chemistry fails to translate on screen which is no doubt the backbone of a love story.

Even otherwise ,Arjun Sablok 's direction is as poor as his script. Infact his last film NA TUM JAANO NA HUM was far more better than this disaster! He appears to have taken a huge step back with this movie which bores the viewer from start to finish. The culmination to this tragedy sorry love story is so long drawn that it further tests the patience of the viewer! Infact it is so poorly shot that it is a downright embarrassment. At this stage a lot of people walked out even!!

Music is a major asset and in fact, the saving grace. 'Title track', 'halla re' are pick of the lot! Cinematography is excellent. The film is visually striking given the locations of Canada!Dialogues are strictly functional with those double meaning and cheap dialouges.

Uday Chopra is wooden as a piece of wood. He delivers his dialogues with no feeling and clearly needs to work on his vopice modulation. He Just doesn't look the part at all . He comes across as more of an SRK wanna-be for the most..Poor guy!

Tanisha is an improvement on her previous film..but that still isn't saying much. Her delivery has improved but she still needs to work on her facials and go easy on the kissing with Uday. The rest of the cast is passable....Abhishek Bachachan is there for one second and his role is inconsequential like in S/N.

All up N3 is one of the most disappointing and biggest disaster of the year! Stay far away
