Hi friends,

Just today in the afternoon, me happened to read a review @ MS! Then, as ordered by the reviewer, me proceeded to the Comments section (He didn’t order to rate it or leave behind a comment, just to proceed there, mind you). And what did me see?? Me saw the first comment in that review by our bro Rohitthebest. Me was bewildered at his style. What did me see, did you ask? Me saw his comment, which went like - ’’Me 1st... Me me me me me me me me me... (went till infinity)’’.

Then me went to review the album of N3. Me saw that no one wrote on it, so ME THE FIRST to write on it. Me remembered Rohit’s ’’Me first.. me me..’’ comment, so me was so thrilled that decided to write. And me also highly influenced by him to use Me me in my review as well. Me’s mental stability and rationality has been disturbed. So tolerate my ’’Me’s’’

But for your sake, Me reviewed this review without Me’s. Me tried very best, and only then did me succeed. So take the album analysis from me minus the Me’s. Me laboured hard, so try not to be harsh over me :P

At what age did you have the first crush of your life? And did the gal reciprocate? If not, the unlucky you! A mortal on earth achieved this target. The kool guy Neal - I’m Neal, I’m the man. Rock star, super star! Now for gals. Ever heard of the singer George Michael, whom you saw on TV and fell you? And ever thought that your sapno ka rajkumar would come on a horse and take you? These were the ambitions of Nikki - Nikki Bakshi, Sweet & Sexy. This is the simple introduction to both the characters of the movie, and how they grew up, portrayed in the title song of the album Neal ’n’ Nikki.

K.K. and Shweta Pandit sing the song which will lure the teenyhoppers to the hall, and is, by Yashraj, an excellent way to start the promotion of the film. Note the little music piece of ’Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jaana Sanam’ in between, and the lyrics later. Hilarious :D

Again for the gals. Specially for the hi-fi ones, who cannot go without make-up for a single moment! Admire the courage of Nikki Bakshi who sang Halla Re, searching for her dream man, without pairon ki paayal, hathon ka kangna, aankhon ka kaajal and maathe ki bindiya. Back to the guys. This song’s about Nikki searching her way out for her man in her life. Go and prove your existence, lest it might be too late!

Irshad Kamil’s lyrics are innocent, and the rap arrangement provided by Robert ’Bob’ Omulo provide for an effective listening. Shweta (Isn’t the name getting tooo repititive?) Pandit is roped in for this too, and does full justice to it!

Time for a change. Let’s go back to the traditional Yashraj Films of the early millennium, with and added Gen X touch to it (courtesy the normal English songs to make it a Hinglish version altogether). I’m In Love is just what the doctor ordered. Sweet, fresh, cute, hummable and pure love song is this one. Good for couples newly in ’’love’’ (so-called I mean) with each other! The smooth flow of this one really makes the listener... Listen to it :)

Could this type of a song be complete without Sonu Nigam? I think not! So he is in, and is here to justify his presence with Mahalaxmi Iyer, both of whom provide some innocence to the track, which is extremely likable.

Bhangra time. No.. Don’t get up just like that and put your hands indicating a six of a cricket match, and put it up and down consistently. Ankh Ladiyan is a typical Punjabi track, and this is obvious in a film like this isn’t it? It somewhat resembles ’Ishq Da Maara’ in the beginning, but the similarities end here. Otherwise, this’ one to reckon with! Wouldn’t call this the best ever composition of anytime for sure, but it does have its own charm, and continues the mood established by the earlier songs, much like Dhoni did with his quickfire 183 n.o. maintained today to lead India to an easy 3-0 lead in the series!

Kunal Ganjawala sings yet another number with ease, and is ably supported by the like of Shweta Pandit, and the not-so-like of Javed Ali! Anvita Dutt Guptan pens some reasonable lyrics for this one.

Get ready for a first-timer in Bollywood. A true Western track, a true one. This may not only attract the Overseas audience in bulk, but will prove to be a great crowd-puller for the hip, rocking Indian audience as well. I just wanna spend my life with you is the number. It will be interesting to see in what situation is the concerned number placed in the film. It maintains a steady tempo throughout, without much variations in the music arrangements. That’s primarily what works, the consistency is admirable. This one’s specially for all those DEEPLY in love. Sing to her, and I assure happiness for one year atleast :)

Cunton and Dominique Cerejo provide some foot-tapping vocals to the excellently created number, and Asif aLi Beg gives in some romantic lyrics, fully in English. Well, you see, aLi’s do not like Hindi much. My school Hindi teacher is fed up too, of her desire to see atleast one page written in my Hindi copy.

Now the tradition of all YashRaj films and musics continue with N3 as well. For the last number in the whole album. I am sure you are surprised not to find any remix of any song till now. So here’s one for you, of the title song itself. The Naughty Mix is really naughty, and is all set to be the ’’in’’ number in all the discs of the city. So this Saturday, make sure you visit one.

Guys, me and my me’s back again. Now don’t blame me, me said only to leave out the Me’s in the analysis. So now you do have to cope up with all the me’s again.

Did you know? Not once in my review did me mention the name of the music director, aur tum ho, ki rate karne chale the... Khair, me’ll tell you now. The music decorator, oops director, is the same man behind the tunes of Kaal, Salim-Sulaiman duo, who also gave some haunting background score in Ramu’s BHOOT and DARNA MANA HAI. Their music style is truly different, and have taken a step ahead with this one. For their effort for N3, me gives them a 4.5/5. Though me haven’t rated each song, methinks it will be sufficient for you mortals to judge them by what me written about them :)

What else? Are you waiting here for me to torment you with more Me’s of mine? Whatever be it, rate the review, move on to the Comments section and also leave behind a comment, aisa nahin ki bas chale gaye aur chod diya. Follow instructions, lest me will send you a M2M titled ’’Fwd: Me Me Me...’’ !

Happy Diwali to all you guys.

From ME ME ME ME!!
