I wish google reviews provided an option to give -5 stars, because this hospital deserves nothing more. We had the worst experience here.
Last week I took an aged family member to the hospital for emergency treatment(the patient had suffered stroke 5 months back and was internally bleading). Our family travelled 6 hours to reach the hospital as we were travelling from a far off city. The hospital very graciously admitted the patient stating the main doctor Dr. Prabhjit Singh will be available in the evening. But the entire day passed by and no one came. Only a few nurses were attenting the patient, a patient bleading internally and very critical.
But we hoped the doctor would come next day. But no one came and the health of the patient got bad hour by hour. On asking the hospital staff and nurses, they said that the Dr. would come soon.
Then finally on the third day we overheard one of the ward boys saying that Dr. Prabhjit Singh was abroad and not in India. And that no one knows when he will return. At this point we packed our bags and decided to leave this shitty hospital.
Now comes the most interesting part: the very long hospital bill. The hospital had charged for every time a nurse/ward boy/compounder had entered the room. 500 buck multilple times a day whenever someone came inside the room. Now to this when we objected, the hospital said that they are charging for the services that the nurses provided, but hilariously, service charges were additional 1500 on top of these "visitation charges". Each time if the patient was vaccinated or cleaned or attended to 1500 rs were charged on top of the 500 already paid for the so called "service". So simply~5000 per day just because some hospital staff came inside the room even if to do nothing. I must say I was impressed, this is quite innovative an approach: charge patients just by coming in and out of the ICU. A bill of 40000+ in 3 days even when the doctor wasn't available and patients were scammed by being informed that the doctor would soon come. While the whole time the patient was only attended by nurses/ward boys.
Nevertheless, we are not worried about the money part because money is something people can recover but time is what is crutial in such situations. What if something bad had happened to the patient while the hospital told the family that doctor will come. What if the family had not taken the brave decision to get the patient out of this hopital in time.
I just hope after reading this review, people can take and informed decision and avoid this hospital in the future. God bless all!
