Naukri.com is perhaps the first online platform which comes to the mind of a job seeker whenever he/she starts searching for a new job or for a first job. The branding team has done a very commendable job in this regard. However, the operations and core administration completely disappoints.
I was looking for a job change and uploaded my profile on the naukri.com portal. I kept updating the profile on regular basis to attract the attention of recruiters. There are certain good aspects which I noticed:
1) The platform is very easy to use.
2) You can set the alert for a particular kind of job listings.
3) You can follow recruiters and see the jobs they have posted
4) Many filters are available like'location', 'skill', 'experience', 'keywords' so that you can search a job which exactly matches your requirement.
Despite so many positive features, the soul purpose of the site remains to be served. One has to still struggle for a job.
1) If you are a fresher, better don't waste your time on naukri.com and start serious hunting or go for some niche courses that is in demand.
2) Even for experienced candidates, you have to toil hard until and unless you have some exceptional and in-demand skill.
3) Fast forward services are of no use. They charge a whopping Rs 4000 for 6 months and loot someone who is having a tough time searching for a decent job.
4) You get too many emails from them under different heads.
All in all, I do not endorse naukri.com as they are more into making money rather than helping a deserving candidate land up with a job. There are more useful platforms available from where one can look for a job, but definitely not naukri.com
