An absolutely BAKWAAS and FALTU movie

This movie Natrang is one of the worst ever movies I have seen. Following are the reasons for the same:

  1. The story line is negative. A well muscled man loses everything for his so called "ART". He loves tamasha and he wants to start his own. He loses everything for the same. He loses his wife, his son, his father, his father in law, his community, his village, his manly pride, his muscles for the heck of tamasha. Surely there could be examples of this sort but it does not mean that the story line has to be this much negative.

  2. The scenes where hero offers his body are absolutely unnecessary. There is one situation where the hero offers himself and second where he gets exploited. Both are unnecessary. What is the gain by showing these scenes?

  3. The story line resembles to the life story of late Shri Ganpat Patil. But he did his Nachya roles sheerly out of necessity. He had to support his family. Moreover his Nachya roles were more on screen than off screen. This tamasha movie shows hero doing Nachya roles only off screen. The hero's story does not arouse the same sympathy as the life story of Ganpat Patil does.

  4. The entire "Cinema" is ommitted in story line. Tamasha declined because cinema was better, convenient and economical. This aspect is absolutely neglected in this movie. Marathi cinema has been around for quite some time. this movie shows modern time but very ancient thought process of the author. The impact of cinema on tamasha should have been highlighed. Author fails here.

But this film has following positive points:

  1. Acting: The actors have performed well, very well infact.

  2. Sound: The songs are catchy, the sound is also fabulous. The sound where heroine enters into film is awesome.

  3. Photography: The camera work is also superb. Camera angles give appealing and very effective scenes.

But overall this movie does not send any positive vibes. It is a story of a stupid and "bewakoof" man who wastes his life.

Not worth watching.

Vasudeo
