Decent movie. Review on National Treasure Movie

This movie is about a treasure which was protected by Knights Templar and

then the Masons which was hidden for centuries. The Gates family has been

scorned for generations because of their belief that the treasure exists.

Benjamin Franklin Gates(Nicholas Cage) belongs to this family.

Benjamin's father thinks it's just a figment of imagination but Benjamin's

grandfather hands Benjamin a clue using which he conducts an expedition

north off the Artic circle in search of a 19th century ship.

On the ship he finds clues that the treasure map may be written in invisible ink on

back of Declaration of Independence. Now the question is how to gain

access to the Declaration of Independence?. Cage wants to go through

formal ways but Ian Howe(Sean Bean), his former financial backer wants to

steal it. This leads to a fight between them.

Now the biggest problem confronting Cage is convincing the National

Archivist( Diane Kruger) that the Declaration of Independence mightbe

stolen. She refused to believe so eventually Cage decides that the best

way of protecting the Declaration of Independence is to steal it. Then

starts a series of chases and close calls. The heroes find themself in a

collapsing mine shaft beneath an old church.

Nicholas puts up a decent performance. Daine Kruger also does a good job.

Obviously the story reminds you a lot of Da Vinci code. Only it's not as

thrilling. Basically because the riddles thrown in are figured out too

quickly that you as a viewer don't get time to think over it. Otherwise

the movie has a good dose of humor,action and a decent plot. Hope the Da

Vinci code movie is better than National Treasure
