Few years back college had bad reputation due to late exams, strikes, no campus selections, fewer professors, session late, bad infrastructure and more. But the day when it became NIT everything changed there.
The college is now one of the best colleges in east region of India and now every thing is there. Good environment along with good teachers has attracted IT companies for campus placement. Current ruling government has a big role in improving this college and current CM Nitish has also made a big contribution for this.
I completed my engineering from this college in year 2001 and the session was approximately 2 years late. But now the sessions are on time and exam are conducted on time. That time there was only 4-5 students were selected after the campus interview but now I have heard that this year many students are selected through the campus interview. Also institute is getting aid from the government after it became NIT.
