Total bs. Review on National Awards 2005

What is bollywood coming too, National awards are suppose to be the biggest awards for bollywood, you know like the oscars for american movies. I cannot believe that saif ali khan got an award for hum tum, I didn't know that until today,His performance in the movie wasnot that good that he could go and grab a national award, and guess what he was almost late to receive the award.

In the filmfare awards he was nominated for the best comedian, not even for the best actor, then they give him a national award for a best actor, National award has become a big mazak, I always thought that filmfare awards where stupid, they never made sense, giving awards to amitabh bachnan like powers awards just to show up at the awards ceremony and to shahrukh khan, and I thought that national awards were always fear.

The only actor get an award in the start of their career was mithun chakarborty in his first film called miragaya, not even the likes of dilip kumar, amitabh bachnan, shahrukh khan has done that in the starting of their careers. 1989 amitabh had gotten a award for agneepath playing a vijay dinanath chauhan a gangster, a movie which amitabh deserved an award for, if you compare saif's performance with amitabh what rubbish are we talking about.

Sunny deol in 1993 for damini had deserved the award as well, comparing saif ali khan to sunny deol is joke as well. Saif ali khan has carried of the same comedian image from dil chahta hai, kal ho na, hum tum, salam namaste what is different.

Ajay devgan who got 2 national awards, for zakham and one for legend of bhagat singh that was a well deserved award.

Only reason saif ali khan got the nation award was because of his mom sharmila tagore who herself was never good actress as she was average, because she is the central board of films cheif or something. There was much hue and cry was raised when saif was declared this years national award winner. a lot of people didn't agree most people said that shahrukh khan deserved it for swades. Saif is alleged that he was chosen against some better contenders or competetors because his mother sharmila tagore used her clout and influence.

One person deserved the best actor, and the national award for 2004 it was truly nana patekar for aab tak chappan, his performance was straight out from his heart, you just can't goof off like saif does in all of his movies with new jeans news shirts and his hairstyle looking like he just came out of jail and hadn't a cut for years. If saif was realy a national award deserving actor, where was he in the last 14 years he came in the movies right from 1992 I think with aashiq awara from then he's only had about 3 or 4 hit movies, yeh dillagi, hum saath saath hai,kachhe dhaagge,love ke liye kuch bhi karega, most of them had other stars in it.

When sharmila tagore was accused of saying that she was the main reason for saif getting the national award, she answers no it wasn't me it's the broadcasting ministry that decides the awards and censor board has no say in it.

Tabu had gotten a award for her performance in the movie maachis, as well as anil kapoor for pukar and as you watch the movie you know they deserved the awards.

The greats like naseerudin shah, om puri, anupam kher,amrish puri hasn't gotten national awards, and saif ali khan gets a national award. So next year when saif ali khan gets a national award for salaam namaste people won't be surprised.

Actors who truly deserved the national awards-

nana patekar for- aab tak chappan (my choice)

amitabh for khaake or dev

manoj bajpai for - jaago

salman for - garv (still better then humtum)
