This is actually a Society called National Geographic Society It is a fact of history this society was formed by Philanthropies to aid The new world in mapping Different Geographic areas of our planet. This was supposed to help in the needs of information Science and The community at large. This society is the 1st. Global Organization ever existed.

Voluntary contributions was their source of funding and they improved They by publishing Books Magazines and in turn used to sponsor Scientists who needed funds by for many researches their activities Are well documented and information is vastly available about them in Every nook and Corner. I don’t have to go in details about that.

This review is about a Satellite Television Channel Who uses their name And their resources, this Channel has access to the vast data base of This Society. As I remember they have shown on this channel some original research Works of Scientists who were sponsored by them and their work Video Documented For the libraries.

They have shown on this channel original works conducted on Apes in the Wild as well as in captivity in the fields of Language learning skills in Animal’s Animal intelligence in Dolphins etc., Anthropology Studies on primitive Tribes living in the wild, extreme Habitats of the planet and the life forms Existing there the various adaptations they have to the conditions If you are a Doctorate and invited to join them or become their associated Member, you will become a exclusive club member, you belong to a different League or a Super Doctorate.

To me Doctorate itself is a peak but Among them the affiliation to Geographic Society is a higher peak. Of course a Satellite channel is not run on such higher motives, its a Commercial establishment, so they have commercial programs, no Commercial channel can Survive on talking about Dr.Livingston and Dr.Darwin. We are able to see some lighter subjects along with, highly researched Subjects. It’s a mass communication arm of Scientists to reach if required Masses. This is better than going to a savvy MBA managing a commercial Channel and explain to him the findings and the impact of all the good Work is as impossible as teaching a Cat to swim.

National Geographic Channel is an absolute necessity. If It is not there, how a dry brained person like me can expect To be entertained.

Mad Magazines (Alfred E.Neuman) failed, Les Cherlots Crazy Boys failed, Police Academy 100 failed, Archie failed Dagwood failed, Small Society failed, Peter Falk failed, Mel Brooks failed, Peter Sellers failed. But good news is this Channel National Geographic has passed in flying colors.

America is not great in name of its claim to greatness. America, is great Because of its achievements, the effort behind its achievements. Believing Perfection is still a long way to go. Never claiming to have reached.

Just look at the energy Of Wright Brothers, Munroe Doctrine, Mayflower Compact Coca Cola, Ford Motors, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison Graham Bell, Time magazine, Pony Express, Abe Lincoln. National Geographic Channel represents such energy.
