Hello Guys, I've enjoyed Petry's work since I first read because of she plot each and events with beautiful use of language.
Multiple points of view are followed in this story. Sometimes its leads to mind blowing. This is a classic tragic love affair, that shows class, race, and love in the 1950's with use of language and imagery in this book was amazing.
This novel narrate with the complex, varied perspectives that exist within the urban life style, and the how their lives can be affected.
This is a'must read' book for anyone seeking to better understand the lives of those who can't seem to pull themselves out of poverty.
Ooh! this story is timeless, and well-worth the read. very moving and insightful story. Must-do reading for anyone interested in early media machinery.
Will try to read it once more.
