This is the school I had to transfer to, as my father had a central govt. job and was transferred from state to state, I had to keep changing school as well.and even district to district.so it made a lot of difference in my upbringing.
The day I entered this Institution, I felt different and I felt my life would change for the better.but it didnt, I started to feel alone, even when I had made good friends. The main reason was the west bengal board. I never liked the board because it used to reach really deep into subjects, which was not necessary for that particular class or classes. Like in icse board they don't push you to know more unless you have a special paper for that subject, other than that, you they don't push you to know more and more. The teachers in this school, durng my time there, made life difficult as well. Most of them, leaving the english, hindi, physics and biology and history teacher, were not good at explaining stuff!
This was a hostel environment and I didnt like it at all.and in the hostel the institution used to provide teachers for students who used to be weak! in certain papers.so I was given a teacher in maths and biology.thankfully I never got the beating but they used to beat many of us, I didnt understand why was it so.but any way, later on I felt ill, really ill and I was admitted into the hospital there and later on after staying ill and falling ill almost every year due mosquito bites and as there never used to be FANS in the dorm rooms where we used to stay, I changed school and went to Assembly Of God Church School, I was so so happy! when I was leaving.but before I left I did score 72% in my class 8 finals! and got a star in 2 papers! hahaha.oh sorry 3 papers.one was english, the other hindi and the other geography.
I do have some fond memories and then some memories of me being beaten because I was 10 minutes late to clean the lawn! of my bhavan or something of that kind. But as a whole I liked that place.only if the teachers had changed and instead of West Bengal Board it had ICSE .
