My wife`s pregnancy completely monitored by Dr. Anuradha(top Gynaecologist) in Narayana Health. After 34 week, suggested to do the LFT, where she found Alkalyne Phosphatage value is higher. After that she informed it`s an emergency, pateint had to be admitted for 48h. As I have insurance, I gone through it. Nothing happened in 48 h. After completion of the tenure, discharge started at 11:00 AM, lot of document give & take happened between hospital & insurance, lastly at 8:30PM I come to know from the Ins. dept of the hospital that, my insurance claim has been declined. So I paid the total amount I came to house.
After discussion with insurance team I come to know, nowhere hospital said, it was emergency, it was a normal observation, which could be done in OPD. After giving all the documents to Insurance, I could prove it as emergency as per Doctor & re-imbersed the amount. Doctor also prescribed not to take any fruit except one apple per day, no milk & milk product, 1/2 amount of rice & roti & to take plenty of dal & vegetables. This prescription was shocking to me. Because, taking this food my wife was becoming tired & it was not to give sufficient nutrients to mother.
After taking the experience I changed the hospital & doctor to Dr. Ambika of Rainbow Children`s Hospital. Doctor & hospital was very good & Birthing Suite ceserian(which is~1.5 Lacs) done in only Rs. 68000 & completely under Insurance except nonmedical bill, which was 23000 for mom & baby.
So don`t go Narayana Health blindly.
