Truth of Narayana Hrudayalaya Bangalore. Review on Narayana Health - Anekal Taluk - Bangalore

I have ear infection for which I thought to visit Narayana Hrudayalaya Bangalore(I have visited there for couple of times with my friend for his Son's treatment), I had gone to Mazumdar Shaw building for OPD so my opinion/ comment is based on that.

First I enquired who is the best ENT Specialist in that building, one of the Doctors(was looking very young) told me we have Dr Sohel and Dr Pradeep Kumar and both are good. Then next what to do, I asked, can I directly visit him or is there any other process. He told you will have to fill the form at reception get yourself Registered at the registration counter and then you can visit him. OK, so I went to reception counter to get the form filled where it took 10-15 mins where I told that I want to visit Dr Sohel(you will to tell that which Doctor you want to meet). Once I got the form, she asked me to go to registration counter and get registered and she will give you the file then visit the Doctor.

So on Registration counter I had to wait for 55 mins for my turn, and when I handed over my form to her, she took 15 mins to Enter my details in system and swipe my card to charge OPD fee(Rs. 250/-)

She entered my details for three time because she was not aware about there functionality and I came to know this because she was asking her colleague about this and asked three times for spellings to me. So all in queue were getting frustrated.

Anyhow, I got my file with Consultant Doctor mentioned as Dr Suhel. I visited to his room, where one of the Nurses took my file and told me to wait as I am in queue, I said how much time it will take, she told 10 patients are in queue I am 11th. Alright so I sat there in waiting lounge where already many were waiting. Started playing with my mobile, half an hour passed no buzz, few were getting restless. Nurses were calling patients by name. After 40-45 mins I asked which number currently going on, in the mean time I was looking into the list on computer she was operating and when I checked the name which they pronounced was the 2nd one. OMG so still many to go. Rather than sitting on chair I thought to wait near that counter(Men were already standing there), after some 10-12 mins One nurse pronounced one name. Certainly when I checked in the list on computer(from some distance I was looking) that name was written after my name i.e. number 12th, I asked nurses how come she can go first as in serial order I should be called first and you will be amazed I was totally ignored and rather than answering anything she just went away. I was shocked on this. I asked another nurse and she also moved away without responding. It was too much. Then third one came(she was looking senior) when I observed that she was trying to avoid me, I asked Ma'm I am asking something and If serial numbers are not followed then how I will come to know that how much time I will have to wait? and also the name you have pronounced is after me in the list then she told that lady had came yesterday and waited for 2 hours and was not able to meet doctor so she went before me, amazing they why she was not called on first number today why in between(something was fishy). Same time some others were just murmuring and supporting me(but was not having courage to ask any question). Nurses were telling there is only doctor morning so it is taking time etc etc.

Now I was waiting there for more than one and half hours, and amazingly once I asked openly to them, just within five minutes they called my name!

I went inside and faced a Doctor called Maneesh(a very young guy) I asked where is Doctor Suhel, answer was he is not in today! then I said where is Pradeep Kumar? they told he left for the day! and that guy just completed the formality of checkup(yes it was formality only) and recommended Ear Drop. I said can you recommended some good medicine he said no need, just use the Ear Drop or else get it operated for which you will have to take appointment. So my case was finished within 3-4 minutes for which I spend my 3 hours.

So as per my file details I have consulted to Doctor Suhel but reality is something else.

So what actually is happening that Narayana is using the name of Senior Doctors but these doctors dont visit actually this is just a business.

(I came to this conclusion because a couple of months ago I had visited with my friend(two times) as his son was not well and on his Son's file also Name of Doctor was Dr Sanjay and he was attended by another young Doctor) In two visits we never met Dr Sanjay. First time he was not there and second when we asked, answer was he is on leave today!)

So just be aware which Doctor's name they specify on File and who actually will attend you, any observation please comment here so that others can come to know whats the probability of this as for medical treatment Doctor who is attending the patient matters much.
