If a film can hold attention for 2 hrs in these fast days of even faster cuts and edits, its no mean feat. Sunday, yesterday afternoon, when the sun was blazing and the a.c. lulling me to sleep, it captured my interest for large parts. I was awake and involved and thus would give it a decent ranking.

Its not mind blowing in thrills but there is no moment when it bores. It starts off with a rather improbable romance b/w Bobby, a tycoon and Urvashi a shapely white lass who serves hamburgers in burger king but awakens in mornings on silken sheets and fragrant bath salts. You know at that instant that something is amiss here and then the movie gains momentum when the girl meets the dashing carefree dude Akshaye and gets involved with him right in the week before her marriage to Bobby.

Then starts a cat and mouse game where u see a profusion of hand held video cams as well as concealed ones zooming in on parking scenes, love making scenes, emotional scenes etc.Akshaye tries to back off but Urvashi ditches her man at the altar and rushes into her lover's arms much to the chagrin of the former. He gives a self pitying speech in front of what else, a video cam and proceeds to blow his brains out that land in a pink mass on a shining mass of glass.

If all this drama is not enough much before the climax there is the revelation and justification for this oversode of sentiments. THis part of the marrative gets a bit lazy but then the final lap looms ahead and all the racers put their best foot forward.

The movie climaxes to a surprising and justifiable end(after all hell hath no fury like a woman and her lover scorned) and u end up with the feeling having viewed a well rounded movie.

ON the acting front, Akshaye easily takes the cake and the bakery. His rols is complex and unpredictable and he tackles it with ease and enigma. Bobby really has no role in the first half except dining in style. He has an important role but no meaty scenes and the latter half too sees him just waving his curly hair as he sneers and anticipates his success.

Urvashi is good, period. She looks good and acts decently. In the first breezy half she is quite impressive but somehow later on she loses the sheen as her vocal part recedes and she is reduced to a glam doll.

2 friends of Akshaye are bumbling and irritating.

Not too many charcters but a breezy screenplay keeps the things moving. Some scenes give a feeling of deja vu but thats acceptable keeping in mind that Indian thrillers have the same tenor.

Music is good and so are the dances. Urvashi moves well.

On the whole timepass movie, definitely not boring.
