Nalin Chandra Das & Sons is one of the oldest and most renowned places for taste of snacks and sweets in Kolkata city.
I have visited to this restaurant two or three times during my visit at my relative’s house which is just half kilometres away from this shop.
It is mainly famous for its varieties and taste. It has more than hundreds of varieties of items including both snacks and sweets out of which most famous are samosa, kachori, radha-vallabhi, rasgulla, paantua, Chena mishti, bonde, gauja, sweet curd, sandesh and many others.
I have tried almost all these stuff and I really like it because of its taste and aroma with soft touch in the sweet.It is also one of the most preferred places for bulk order in any major events or occasions like marriage, anniversary, birthday party, official meets etc.
You just can't resist yourself to taste its stuff when you are in Kolkata. The prices are pretty high but it’s worth in comparison to its quality and taste. Actually, it is not a complete restaurant sort of. But it is a big shop with large area where few sitting arrangements are there. Most of its orders are parcel based.
But the ambience and environment is sober with neat and clean space which tempt you to try its stuff. Also, the staffs are many in numbers to manage their large number of customers per day. Therefore, service is fast and you don't have to wait. It is really a place to explore the taste of snacks and sweet dishes of Kolkata.
