The nakshtra restraunt is located on infantry road right next to the famous latino's restraunt.the place sounded south indian to me but serves north indian and punjabi food.i have been there twice and the second time I went there I came out quite annoyed.you will learn later on why I was angry.earlier the restraunt was called the regency but it went down in quality and nakshatra has gone the same way.

PARKING-

well parking is quite ok as you have a pay and park area right opposite the restraunt.but come early because there are two other famous restraunts located on that road and parking will become a problem if you come late.plus thanks to that pay and park area it kind of jams the road.they have made that road a one way now but people still come on the wrong side.

ATMOSPHERE-

the place is very flashy once you step in.it doesnt give you that homely and friendly.you are then asked whether you would like to sit in the smoking or non smoking section.we chose the non smoking section.the place was empty at that time though.we made our way upstairs to the non smoking section.i didnt like the seats there as I felt that they were a little on the puffed side.it looked like the cushioning was erupting out like a volcano.the lighting wasnt very bad.dont worry they wont make your eyes melt.the entire place is airconditioned and they put it on too strong that you feel that there are ice like stalagtites and stalagmites being formed on your body.we had to request them to lower the intensity of the airconditioner a bit.

and oh by the way if you are looking for a quiet place dont come here.there are families who bring those bratty kids here and just let them loose.there was one kid who just drove all of us up the wall.he went ordering around the waiters every second.once that stopped the kid began to sing ''bob the builder'' song at the top of his lungs.i guess we just had bad luck that day.

SERVICE-

this is the most irritating part of the place.even though the service is prompt there are ten to twelve waiters who hover around you like flies around a cow's bottom while you eat.you then begin to feel like a carcass which is being circled by a vulture or some other kind of scavenger.the moment you take the first bite they are all over you trying to server you what is left in the dish.i did warn them a couple of times to stop it.but it had no affect.i then let out a small phrase of frustration at one of the waiters who then muttered and apology and went away.

my goodness I thought that would never end.inspite of me warning them or my father telling them that we would help ourselves they didnt listen.they were just trying to over do it.so you arent left alone in that restraunt as you are constantly bombarded with questions by the waiters for more helpings and also by them hovering around you.i appreciated the hospitality but it did get out of hand after a while.

THE FOOD-

the menu is the same and usual type of food in every other north indian restraunt but with two differences.number one the quality has gone down very badly and secondly for that kind of quality it is very overpriced.the food is in excessive quantity and and the taste has become bad to.i guess this restraunt has just been hyped in the reviews we had read.

OVERALL-

overall the place was pretty bad.there were no new and innovative dishes that were there.i could get the same dished at half the price and at a better quality at a take out.the waiters were what ticked me off to a great extent.if you dont mind being bothered by them and h ave a different opinion on the place I wouldnt mind hearing it.but no matter what I will never go back there again.if you do want some amazing north indian food I would recommend the restraunt ''Aangan''.it is right next to nakshatra on the same road and it is well known in bangalore for its amazing food.
