The seventh season of nach baliye on Sony is anything but entertaining. It is a show where real life couples compete with each other in dance. Like every other show one couple is eliminated every week and there are 3 judges judging and 2 hosts trying to all some humor elements to the show. Then what is there in the show which makes this show intolerable at times.
Dance is one of the most entertaining form of art. Most of us enjoy watching a good dance number. That is the reason why there are so many dance shows on t v. Every show has their share of good and bad dancers. If there are few poor dancers it is not an issue, you can simply ignore one or two dance. But what to do if judges are not up to mark. Judges of the show are not fit to judge a dance show except for choreographer marji. Chetan Bhagat is a renowned writer and I have read and liked some of his books. I have no doubts about his writing skills but his oratory skills and his knowledge about dance, I seriously doubt.
How can he judge a dance show of this level when he not even distantly related to dance? Writing a story is a different thing and dancing is something different. Is it not unfair for contestants? Then there is priety zinta. Sorry to say, but I tried hard to recollect any one good dance number by her in so many years and I could not. Anyone cannot be madhuri dixit or even malaika arora. She is not even close to shilpa in this field. On top of that she cannot talk properly while commenting. I agree every one cannot be Karan johar, who not has an amazing vocabulary but is blessed with superb oratory skills. It is a pleasure to hear him talk. On the other hand you need tolerance power to hear priety talk. One can avoid a dance if you don't like any participants but cannot avoid judges. I don't like this nach baliye. I can say this is worst till date.
