Naaptol misleads people as it sells substandard stuff with poor workmanship and inferior material. Beware of their ads that come on TV. I ordered a folding Almirah that turned out to be of very poor quality. Material used as cloth is the one used for making bags(even they are stronger) and the pipes do not fit the plastic connectors - mismatch in diameter. Part of the material was torn from the stitched joint.
The structure took 2 hrs to assemble and it was unable to stand on its own and kept falling down. On putting a few clothes it collapsed. Naaptol was informed and I was promised that the item will be picked up and amount refunded or I could buy another item of the same value.
The defective was picked up a few days later but I was shocked to receive SMS stating that the replacement asked by me has been dispatched - I never asked for replacement. On contacting Naaptol a man called Ram Babu insisted that I had asked for replacement and questioned me what was inferior material and defective workmanship. He also insisted that I will have to take the replacement as it has been dispatched. The lies and poor customer care seem to be the hall mark of Naaptol.
I wrote to the CEO and customer support narrating my bad experience. I was informed by a person on behalf of CEO that I should refuse the replacement courier and that the money will be refunded if I give the bank details. 2 days later I was informed that Rs 500/- will be deducted as special charges and the balance will be refunded. I am still waiting for it though more than a week has passed.
What a fraud Naaptol perpetuates on its customers. The stuff sent by them is defective so it should be refunded in full. Trying to force a similar replacement against the will of customer is an unfair trade practice and amounts to harassment.
Never order anything from Naaptol online. Better to see and feel the stuff that you want to buy at a departmental store. You are less likely to be cheated.
