Plot-
It's a story of a girl(Taapsee Pannu)who got punished for 2 years for a juvenile crime of murdering her father accidentally while saving her mother from him in her mid teen age.
In the beginning of the film a few members of RAW are trying to find and capture the biggest arms dealer of the world but their efforts go in vain completely. First half completely focuses on how Shabana came in contact with the agency(RAW) while finding and dealing with the muderers of her lover Jai(Taher Shabeer Mithaiwala), who killed him just after both Shabana and Jai were returning from Jai's b'day party(actually it was a date as there were only these to guys).
Second Half of the movie depicts the scenes of foreign countries where the agency is actually searching for the villain of this movie Tony / Mikhail who is a completely mysterious guy and the biggest international arms dealer of the world who is seen very rarely in public and chances to find and catch him are even rarer. While at the same time Shabana is being given an ultimate level of training, secretly, by the agency itself for an upcoming mission to eliminate Tony from the world of arms dealing business and the world itself.
Later on Shabana is joined by Ajay Singh Rajput(Akshay Kumar) and Om Prakash Shukla(Anupam Kher) to accomplish the mission.
So I can say that first half and the initial second half of the movie were a bit slower for this genre, but in the last 35 minutes the it shows some great action, thrill and drama which is quite a match to that of the movie Baby(for those who do not know, Naam Shabana is a prequel of the movie Baby).
Performance-
Tapsee Pannu according to me has done a great job. Villain's role didn't look that promising. Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher had a really nice comic timing with each other as they had in Baby. Manoj Bajpayee has also done a good job in the film.
Music-
Music was quite good. The two songs which I liked were rozana and baby besharam. Overall, it can be concluded that songs were not evergreen.
Cinematography-
Overall the film was a nice piece of work. It was a bit slower for most of the time except the last thirty minutes.
Overall Naam Shabana was an above average movie which did quite a justice with it's genre.
One time watch.
