Characters

Rahul (a professional Photographer) - Hrithik Roshan

Esha (a student who is never shown studying + a part of a Departmental Store) - Esha Deol

Akshay (Rahul's) close friend and a flirt) - Saif Ali Khan

Others (there are many characters including big names like Moushmi Chatterjee, Rati Agnihotri, Alok Nath etc. who have just been wasted in miniscule roles)

Story

The plot of this movie is very easy to remember for those who have already seen earlier love stories like Dil to Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai & Sirf Tum.

NTJNH is nothing but a mixture of the above three movies.

It opens with Esha (Esha Deol) telling her cousins how she has fallen in love with a person whom she has never seen. Esha finds a letter in a book she takes from her college library, on seeing the wordings she falls in love with the person who has written it. She contacts a Radio Host and asks him to play the song written in the letter and tells that if the person who has written the letter (who else but our hero) Rahul (Hrithik) listens the programme he should contact her (once again through the Radio Show), (this plot is clearly lifted from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai). In this way the love starts they start to exchange letters on the condition that she will neither meet him nor attempt to know his name till the time she develops faith in him. To help them in exchanging nameless letters both of them take a Post Box on hire (atleast some revenue to our Postal Department). So without even knowing names of each other they start exchanging love letters (Oh god what a heavenly love) (a plot lifted from Sirf Tum). This pair not only exchanges letters but also toys which will later on help them to identify each other (isn't it childish love).

Rahul's (who is a photographer by profession) close friend is Akshay (Saif) who is a flirt by nature and keeps on changing his girlfriends on day to day basis. Akshay is not interested in the bond of marriage. Rahul gets an assignment from Esha but he rejects the assignment but later on agrees to do the assignment.

Rahul and Esha meets each other and starts being good friends without even knowing that the other person is none other than the one they love. Rahul accompanies Esha for a college party where Esha gets drunk and starts dancing (the tune and the dance is just a lift from Dil to Pagal Hai). Esha's parents starts looking for marriage alliance for Esha at this moment Esha reveals her love affair to her grandfather (Alok Nath) and he asks her to call him and Esha decides to take the help of Rahul to locate her lover and she goes to Rahuls place unfortunately Rahul is not available and his answering machine is on taking the call of Akshay. Esha listens to Akshay’s conversation and realises that Rahul has come to her not for the assignment but see her and to see whether she will be suitable for his friend Akshay. Esha gets disappointed and she runs away from Rahul.

In the meanwhile Akshay and his family comes to Esha’s place and Akshay falls in for Esha and they are to be engaged. Now Esha gets a letter from her Mr. X lover in the letter he has stated that he wants to meet her that too on the day of her engagement. Esha is very happy she runs to meet him but on seeing Esha our sacrifical hero silently comes and drops the doll given by her and walks away. So the pretty lady is unable to know who is her lover and with no option she gets engaged to Akshay.

After her engagement when she comes to Mumbai to Akshay’s place Akshay presents her with a skimpy outfit and asks her to wear for the party. Akshay asks Rahul to bring Esha alongwith him to the party. Esha comes to the party with Rahul in the skimpy outfit . In the party she starts dancing with Akshay and in the process of her dance her dress gets fully unzipped of which Esha is not aware (so engrossed in dance or is it because of the summer heat), however Rahul sees it (what a sharp eyesight) and he slowly takes her in his arms and zips it back.

Friends after going through this torture for almost two hours I was unable to withstand it anymore so I just checked my zipper whether its zipped or unzipped and walked out. As I was dead sure that now Akshay will come to know that Esha is love with Rahul (with the help of hand writing in the letters sent by Rahul) and the second hero Akshay will sacrifice his love and Rahul and Esha will get married.

Though it is the debut film for its director Arjun Sablok he should atleast pay attention to geographical facts. In one of the scene Esha writes a letter to Rahul and addresses the envelope as

POST BOX NO. 143,

COLABA POST OFFICE,

MUMBAI – 400 019

Arjun has Matunga (whose Pincode is 400 019) been renamed as Colaba or has the postal department changed the Pincode of Colaba Postal area. Can you please explain ?

My advise to all my MS friends is that NAA TUM DEKHO NAA HUM.
