Being a somewhat avid mystery reader, I really enjoy the Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine. I used to read this magazine faithfully when my father subscribed to it when I was young but I only occasionally pick up a copy now. The short stories in this magazine are very entertaining and tend to be intriguing. Very often, the stories have a twist to the plot and the endings are unique and unpredictable. The unpredictability is one of the things I most enjoy about this magazine.
This mystery magazine contains a book review section that provides insight into the newest book son the market pertaining to mysteries. The book reviews are an excellent resource to filter out books you might otherwise buy. With the price of books these days, I like to know ahead of time whether a book is worth the price I will pay. I also enjoy the Who Dunnits. Who Dunnits are a type of story where you are given a variety of clues throughout the story and have to attempt to determine the guilty party. No matter how many times I pick up an issue, I try to solve them and almost every time, miss a small, but important part that would have led me to the correct conclusion. I love logic and reason and find my skills truly put to the test when trying to solve these mysteries. Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine also contains a unique logic puzzle in every edition; these puzzles are extremely challenging and worth attempting to solve!
The Bottom Line: For a challenging opportunity to solve a variety of capers, pick up a copy! Not for the weak at solving Mysteries!
