A dieing Tourist Destination. Review on Mysore

Hi, I am writing this to tell about the bitter expereince I had when I visted Mysore few days ago. I had visited Mysore about 12 Years ago when Mysore was excellent place to see . The palace, the brindavan garden, art gallery etc was excellent and worth seeing. Based on the same impression I went to mysore again. Firts itself the approach road to Mysore itself was so bad. The Highway had more traffice than cities. I think it had to be double ablut 10 years ago itself so huge wa the traffice to Mysore. The road ride no need to mention was bumpy and has lots of sped breakers also buld on the roads. Then going to Mysore the Enter to palace one has to pay for keeping camera in locekr, removing shoes and entry. they earn on an average 17 Rs per person. An they donot show even part of the palace.

Apart from the main palace we were told there is a second palace in same premise. We we went there we were charged Rs 15 again per head for entry again in the same compound and no need to say the maintaince didnot see so good. Then to talk about Brindavan garden. No fountains working. No water flowing in the center of the garden. No Musical fountain. FOrtunately at aroung &:15 when it was so dark that people could nto see each other they put some lights. The garden is so poorly maintained that any one who has seen the garden 10 years ago and seeing it now would feel like crying. I think Karnataka government is very bad in promoting tourism in their state. They ought to maintain the place well so that people would feel like revisting it.
