Now don't get me wrong..I have nothing against our little (big) eight legged fish (mammals) except that I really can't eat squid (calamari)! Really folks, little rubbery rings, boiled, broiled, sauteed or fried...it's all the same. RUBBER!
Moving on...... Mushrooms...Be it a little cute button mushroom or a huge portabello. I just can't seem to be able to eat fungus! [gag]
On to Italian Prosciutto. Why take perfectly good, sweet, smokey ham and dry it out into wafer thin slices of salty, greasy shoe leather? Nope, not for me.
Moving right along...........
Sweetbreads, neither sweet nor bread. It's the thymus gland of a young animal. It's a growth organ. Why eat that? OK, OK guys...NO it won't make it grow! Enough said about that one.
Next on my list is Okra....3 inches of pure green slime. YUKKY! Such a pretty plant. How can it produce such a slimey veggie. No matter how I've tried it, fried, pickled, boiled, etc, to me it's just too slimey for my taste.
Now on to any insect or bug, dipped in chocolate. Grasshoppers, ants, worms.....give me a break. To me this is NOT a delicacy!
OK my friends, next is a group of foods that I just can't tolorate....beef tartar, raw ground beef with chopped raw onion and a raw egg centered in it. NOPE! Kidney, Lung, tongue,brain.. Uh Uh, not my cupp of tea. I can do without them all.
Now my final food is probably going to come as a shock to you all.. Good old fashioned Split Pea Soup. How can a liquid soup taste so dry? I can't explain it. It just tastes like sawdust to me. Sorry, no SP soup for me!
Well, that about does it. I know I'll get feedback on this one. I'm sure some of your favorites are on my Hate list. So go ahead, comment all you want............I'll just go eat some of my favorite raw fish rolled in seaweed with wasabi horseradish and pickled ginger.
