I hate filling that title box sometimes … please don’t try to comprehend that
There might be one day when your government will not issue a passport for you, if you do not have a web page. The world is flooded with so many websites these days. Best 10 might be impossible, even best 100 might be difficult. Here I produce a list of just a few sites that have a great utility value. These are not all purpose sites like Yahoo and Hotmail or any business site. They mostly do only one work, but that they do brilliantly.
Please prefix a ‘www’ and suffix a ‘.com’ to the following list … and if you were looking for 10 sites, I would have satisfied only half of your expectation

Took burst shots in your new 5.1MP camera and you are not able to send them back home because the size too busted out to be more than E-mailing size? Then you have this site. This site is for bulk upload. Instead of attaching big files on your E-mail, you can upload the files to yousendit server and send the link to your buddies to download. And you can send upto 1 GB! I have done this many many times and it is nice and secure.
They have made recent enhancements to this site where if you register you can send upto 2GB and can have your own things like recently sent, etc.

I have 20 email addresses and one mailbox, with the help of this account. This site helps you create aliases to your mailbox. Say I can have a mail ID created like: <alias1>@envyram.e4ward.com and have the mails sent to this email id reach my yahoo mail id. I can create as many aliases like this.
Whenever you would want to log in to any site, they ask for registration and keep sending you junks. That is where this site helps you the best. Create an alias, register in the other site using the created alias and delete this alias as soon as you are done with your work. So say no to spam and junk mails in the easiest way.
You will have to create a login in this site and manage your forwarding of Emails.

Download.com is more than famous. Any download, I go to this site. Its search is just too good and its repository of software is amazing. In addition, they rate almost all software, so you know the software has some reputation.

Wonderful site that would help you get in touch with your friends. There is a concept called ‘Scrapbook’, where one can leave a note for you. And you leave notes for your friends on their scrapbook. I got to speak to so many of my friends with whom I have lost touch for years together. The network is big and you might be wonderstruck when you find many of your friends and many of your friends find you on this network. People say Hi5 (another friends network site) is good. But I haven’t tried that site.

I just came to know about site very recently. It gets through all firewalls and helps accessing inaccessible sites. My office firewall filters even mouthshut and this helped me surf mouthshut, until this site was itself filtered! Also, it helps in something called as ‘Anonymous browsing’ (which I learnt from the site), where you cannot be traced using your IP, etc. Looks like this is all legal.
You just have to type the web page address you would want to browse in a text box given in the site and choose one of the listed proxies there. It will route you to the page you wished to see. Subsequent links too open via the chosen proxy.
These sites were of great use to me. Hope you too would find it useful.
